Procedure

Install Multipass on macOS or Linux

Install Canonical Multipass via snap on Linux or the official pkg/Homebrew cask on macOS, then verify with multipass version.

  1. Install Multipass per https://canonical.com/multipass/docs/latest/how-to

    Install Multipass per https://canonical.com/multipass/docs/latest/how-to-guides/install-multipass/ . Linux: snap install multipass (elevated if your snap setup requires it; ensure snapd is installed). macOS: download the .pkg from https://canonical.com/multipass/install or GitHub releases and run the installer (admin account), or community option brew install --cask multipass (not officially supported by Canonical).
