Procedure

Install Cursor editor

Install the Cursor desktop app from the official download page or Homebrew, install the cursor shell command, then verify with cursor --version.

    Install Cursor Desktop from https://cursor.com/download (macOS .dmg, Windows installer, or Linux .deb/.rpm/AppImage for your arch). On macOS you may instead run: brew install --cask cursor

  2. Open Cursor, then Command Palette → Shell Command: Install 'cursor' comm

    Open Cursor, then Command Palette → Shell Command: Install 'cursor' command in PATH. Open a new terminal so cursor is on PATH.

  3. cursor --version
